We recently caught up with her for a quickfire Q&A to find out what makes her lessons magnifique.
Learn to Fathom French with Elisabeth
Q So, tell is where you’re from originally, Elisabeth? And a bit about your teaching background?
A I’m originally from Lyon in France, which is famous for its food! And I’m an experienced, qualified language teacher. I’ve been teaching both 1:1 and group lessons at la Academia for several years now.
Q What do you think sets your lessons apart?
A I like to tailor lesson plans to each student’s goals and learning style. My experience in corporate businesses and also the public sector developed my energetic creativity and communication skills. These factors really help me keep lessons imaginative, engaging and never dull!
Q What’s your favourite thing about teaching?
A Supporting my students through their learning journey. I love helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and celebrating small victories. I also like to laugh with my students, because learning doesn’t feel tedious when it’s fun and enjoyable.
Q And being from France, we have to ask you about food?
A Cheese. Of course!
Q What about outside work? How do you like to spend your time?
A Having fun with my son. He keeps me on my toes! And gardening, reading, and listening to music.
Q Can we have a fun fact about you?
A I still avoid certain English words, even after several years in England. For example, I go to the seaside, not the beach!
